beautiful fine braided Bosal is
32 plait 5/8 inch Rawhide kangaroo .The strings are 2mm (approx1/16 in) in the
cheeks. With 10 string nose band (1mm /approx 1/32 in) in an under 5 over 5 sequence ( =
100 plait) through the middle .Whiskey kangaroo hide leather is used for
the striking cross hatch effect interweave in the nose, side buttons and the heel knot The heel knot is an extended 12 bight(1mm /approx 1/32 in) pineapple knot of 8 passes with an under 3 over 3 variation at the top & bottom. There was close to 150 hours put into creating this very unique piece of custom rawhide braiding and many more in the planning. The pictures below really don't do it justice |
